You are interested in the connection between trauma and addiction and are looking for innovative and effective tools and approaches to better understand and transform with trauma and addiction.

You are an aromatherapist, counsellor, therapist or health professional and you are frustrated with current approaches to addiction and co-occurring conditions, such as trauma. You are interested in the ways essential oils can alleviate symptoms as well as help to increase self-awareness and to transform consciousness.

You are aware that it is not enough to alleviate symptoms and behaviours, if our underlying core wounds are not addressed. You are looking for a new framework of transformation to help yourself and others finally integrate, understand and move on from being controlled unconsciously by these core wounds.

You sense that addictive behaviours control us from a deeply unconscious place within us. You are interested in shadow work and how we can work with these unconscious forces to help heal addiction and its co-occurring conditions.

In the Applied AromaGnosis: Aromatherapy for Trauma and Addiction

3-day live journey you will:

  1. Learn how to work with aromas as living partners that can guide you into deep unconscious parts of yourself that are otherwise difficult to access.
  2. The importance of the Wounded Healer and how working on ourselves and our own wounds is vital in order to hold space for and better help our clients.
  3. Discover how personal myth or our soul’s purpose is at the core of all deep, long-term healing and that without this connection to our true selves we feel separated from life and lack a sense of true belonging.
  4. Learn how to use oils for shadow work, to go deep and discover what is being covered up by addiction.
  5. Learn a powerful, tried and tested framework for working through the stages of addiction and healing with the appropriate essential oils for working effectively through each stage.
  6. Learn how to use essential oils to work with personal, family and historical traumas to bring more awareness to their effect on you or your clients and how to integrate and transform these wounds.
  7. Explore some basic principles of treating addictions, including:
  • The importance of building self-efficacy.
  • Assisting stages of change with essential oils.
  • Essential oils that address symptoms of addiction.
  • Using essential oils to anchor new, healthy behaviours and new rituals.

Imagine:

  • Discovering that there is a healthy power behind addiction that can lead us to finding our soul’s purpose.
  • Learning how aromas can actually help us to transform consciousness.
  • Essential oils becoming your allies on a journey from addiction and trauma to individuation and personal myth.

These are just some of the things that our students say they gain from this unique and powerful journey into trauma and addiction.
